National Football League | National Football Conference | East Division | Dallas Cowboys

"How 'bout them Cowboys?"

A question you'll likely hear in DFW, whether the Cowboys are playing well or not! The Dallas Cowboys are DFW's professional Football team since 1960. The team plays home games at AT&T Stadium, located in Arlington, TX, half way between Dallas and Fort Worth. The Dallas Cowboys are tied with the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots for most Super Bowl Appearances (8) and maintain an ongoing sell-out streak at home games since 2002. The Cowboys are the only team in the NFL to secure a 20-game winning streak.

The Dallas Mavericks (MAVS) have been Dallas Fort Worth's professional basketball team since the season of 1980-1981. Owned by Mark Cuban, the Mavericks are ranked as the ninth most valuable basketball franchise in the NBA, valued at $1.4 billion (according to a 2016 Forbes report). The Mavericks share American Airlines Center with the Dallas Stars, and have sold out every home game since 2001, currently the longest sell-out streak of any professional sports team. The most recent championship won by the Mavs was the 2011 NBA Championship.

The Dallas Stars are North Texas' professional ice hockey team playing every season since 2001 at American Airlines Center, also where the Dallas Mavericks play. The Dallas Stars originated in Minnesota as the Minnesota North Stars, but moved to the DFW area in 1993 when they merged with the Cleveland Barons. Since, The Stars have won eight division titles in Dallas, two President's Trophies as the top regular season team in the NHL, the Western Conference championship twice, and in 1998–99, the Stanley Cup. The Dallas Stars became the first NHL team based in a sub tropical city, from the 35th parallel north to win a Stanley Cup.
